Eblana Travel opened for business in 2003 at Galway Technology Park, Parkmore on the east side of Galway City.  The Proprietor, Mary Concannon has many years experience in the Travel industry. Mary has travelled extensively in Europe, China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bali, South Africa, Kenya, Morocco, Tunisia, Australia, New Zealand, the Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives, Thailand, Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Jamaica, Canada, America and Dubai.  She has also visited Madeira, the Azores, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria etc.

In September 2009, Mary moved from Galway Technology and now works from a home office. By working from home, Mary says 'my hours are totally flexible I am available outside traditional office hours so you can phone or email me at a time suitable to you'.

Mary has a vast knowledge and experience in travel and spent 6 months backing in Europe and 5 years travelling around the world.   It was during her travels around the world that Mary began working in a Travel Agency in Sydney, booking holidays to New Zealand, South Pacific Islands, Antarctica, the Far East and other destinations worldwide.

After leaving Australia, Mary returned to London and completed a 3 year college course in Travel & Tourism up to Management Level which qualified her to open a Travel Agency anywhere in Europe.  After completing the course, Mary worked in a Travel Agency in Swiss Cottage in London to gain experience on travel from the Northern Hemisphere. 

Mary decided to return to Galway,  and worked in a city centre travel agency in Galway for over 4 years and whilst working there, she created and developed a long haul section where she organized and escorted tours to many wonderful destinations such as Cuba, Thailand, Australia, Iceland, Canada and Russia. 

Mary then moved into the business travel sector and worked for 2 years in a Corporate Travel implant for a US based multi-national company located in Galway city. 

At this stage, Mary had gained a vast knowledge of working in Travel Agencies in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, she had worked in both retail and business travel, that combined with a degree in Travel & Tourism led to Mary opening a very successful Travel Agency in Parkmore.
